Cusco is a city brimming with history and charm, and it’s a great place to explore at your own pace. Take a leisurely walk through the Plaza de Armas, visit the impressive Sacsayhuamán, or wander through the cobbled streets of the San Blas neighborhood, where you can enjoy local art, culture, and incredible views of the surrounding mountains. If you’re feeling up to it, stop by one of the many excellent restaurants or cafes to sample some Peruvian specialties, or our team can provide restaurant recommendations and help with securing reservations.
In the evening, you will enjoy a welcome dinner at a carefully selected local restaurant. This is a perfect way to conclude your first day in Cusco, allowing you to relax, savor traditional Peruvian cuisine, and toast to the start of your adventure.
We will start the day with pickup from your hotel and head into the beautiful Sacred Valley. Our first stop is Pisac, once the Southern Gateway to the valley and known for its military, ceremonial, and agricultural importance. Here we will admire the impressive agricultural terraces carved into the mountainside. After exploring the ruins, we will stroll through the colorful artisan market before continuing deeper into the valley for lunch.
After lunch, we will visit Awana Kancha, a living museum and demonstration center dedicated to traditional Andean camelid farming. Here you will learn about llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, and guanacos, and see how their wool is spun and woven into beautiful textiles using techniques that date back to Inca times. This hands-on experience will give you insight into the daily life, culture, and craftsmanship of Andean communities.
Our final visit of the day will be to the charming Andean village of Chinchero, known for its blend of Inca and colonial heritage. Here we will explore the Royal Hacienda of Tupac Inca Yupanqui, admire the finely constructed Inca walls, and visit the beautiful colonial church decorated with colorful frescoes.
Right in the heart of the Sacred Valley, the Amaru Valle Hotel offers its guests comfortable and clean accomodation in a truly stunning location.

We’ll bike until we reach humanmarca and then take some private transport from there to Santa Maria for lunch.
In the afternoon, you’ll have the chance to go rafting on the rapids of the Vilcanota River. You’ll receive all the safety equipment necessary to enjoy this thrilling adventure. In the evening, we’ll return to Santa Maria for a great dinner before heading to our accommodation for some rest and to recover our energy for tomorrow.

You may choose to take the train (available at an additional cost) or enjoy a scenic three-hour walk alongside the train tracks, accompanied by the flowing Urubamba River. Along the way, you will visit the Intihuatana and learn about the importance of this sacred stone in Inca culture.
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, you can unwind at your accommodation or take time to explore the town at your leisure. The rest of the evening is free to relax and prepare for the highlight of your journey the following day—your visit to the magnificent Machu Picchu.
Today marks the final and most rewarding day of the Inca Jungle Trek, as you make your long-awaited journey to Machu Picchu. Once suited up with all necessary gear, you’ll glide out onto the calm, glassy waters, surrounded by open skies and panoramic views of the snow-capped Andes. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced paddler, the stillness of the lake and the clarity of the air create a peaceful, meditative experience.
As you paddle along the shoreline, you may spot local farmers working nearby, native birds soaring overhead, or traditional fishing techniques in action. Midway through the experience, there’s time to pause, take photos, or simply lie back on your board and absorb the serenity. After paddling, enjoy a light snack on the lakeshore before preparing and enjoying the traditional underground Peruvian barbecue- the Pachamanca.
As your adventure in Peru comes to a close, we’ll ensure your departure is smooth and stress-free.
