Description
Your journey across the borders of Lake Titicaca begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Puno. You will travel overland along the scenic shores of the world’s highest navigable lake, eventually crossing the border into Bolivia to reach the vibrant lakeside town of Copacabana. Here, you will have a brief opportunity to take in the town’s charming atmosphere before heading to the marina.
From Copacabana, you will board a motorized boat for a scenic cruise across the deep blue waters to the legendary Isla del Sol (Sun Island), revered in Andean mythology as the birthplace of the Inca Empire. Upon arrival, your guide will lead you through the island’s ancient terraced pathways, visiting key archaeological sites while soaking in the tranquil atmosphere and breathtaking views over Lake Titicaca. During your exploration, you will enjoy a delicious included lunch with spectacular panoramic views of the lake and the distant snow-capped Andes.
After your guided visit, you will have the rest of the afternoon at leisure to relax, explore the island at your own pace, or simply take in the peaceful surroundings. In the evening, you will spend the night on Isla del Sol, offering a unique opportunity to experience the island after the day visitors have departed and enjoy its serene atmosphere beneath the Andean sky.
