Your adventure begins with an early pick-up from your hotel in Cusco, followed by a drive to Soraypampa (3,900 m / 12,795 ft), where a warm breakfast awaits. Once fueled, we'll begin our guided hike up toward Humantay Lake (4,200 m / 13,779 ft), taking in the dramatic mountain views of the surrounding Salkantay and Humantay glaciers. The uphill trek takes about 1.5 to 2 hours along a steady trail.
Upon reaching the lake, you’ll be rewarded with striking views of turquoise waters set directly beneath towering glaciers. You’ll have ample time to relax, take photos, or take part in a traditional Andean offering to the Apus (sacred mountain spirits). Afterward, we’ll descend back to Soraypampa for a well-deserved lunch before our drive back to Cusco, arriving in the early evening.
