We'll leave Cusco early and drive about 40 minutes to Andahuaylillas, home to the famous church known as the "Sistine Chapel of the Americas." Inside, you'll see Cusco-style murals, paintings, wood carvings, and embroidered altars. Next, we’ll visit the pre-Inca ruins of Pikillacta, built by the Wari culture, followed by a short walk to Rumicolca, thought to have served as a gateway to the southern Inca Empire. Our final stop is Tipón, famed for its Inca terraces and irrigation. Optionally, try traditional roasted cuy (guinea pig) in a nearby town before heading back to Cusco.
