Itinerary

Your unforgettable journey to Machu Picchu begins with a pickup from your hotel to bring you to the train station. There, you'll board a train for a breathtaking ride through the Sacred Valley, following the winding path of the Urubamba River. Towering mountains, lush cloud forests, and glimpses of ancient terracing along the hillsides accompany you along the way, gradually building anticipation for the wonder that awaits.

Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, the vibrant town at the base of Machu Picchu, your guide will be waiting to greet you at the train station. From there, you’ll ascend together by bus along a winding mountain road, with cloud forests and steep cliffs rising around you. As you approach the entrance, the excitement builds—soon you’ll step into the awe-inspiring world of Machu Picchu, perched high above the valley and wrapped in mist and legend.

With your guide leading the way, you’ll explore the heart of Machu Picchu, walking through its temples, sacred plazas, and sweeping agricultural terraces. As you move through the site, stories of Inca engineering and spiritual life begin to take shape. Your guide will share both historical insights and the latest theories, helping you see the citadel not just as a ruin, but as a living testament to a brilliant and mysterious civilization.

After your visit, you'll return to Aguas Calientes with time to enjoy lunch, explore the local markets, or even soak in the town’s namesake hot springs if you wish. Later in the afternoon, you'll board the train for your journey back through the Sacred Valley, once again passing dramatic landscapes and river views. Upon arrival, a private transfer will be waiting to bring you back to your hotel, where the evening is yours to relax and reflect on the experience.
