Your Waqrapukara adventure begins with an early hotel pickup in Cusco, followed by a scenic drive with a stop at a local restaurant to enjoy a hearty breakfast. After breakfast, you'll continue by vehicle to the trailhead in Santa Lucia, passing lush meadows and the serene Pomacanchi Lagoon along the way. From there, we’ll begin our guided hike toward Waqrapukara, taking approximately two hours as we ascend to an altitude of 4,300 meters (14,107 feet).
You’ll have about an hour to explore the ancient site with your guide, discover its fascinating history and unique architecture, and capture incredible panoramic photos before beginning the trek back down to Santa Lucía. Upon returning to our lunch spot, you’ll enjoy a well-deserved meal while taking in the surrounding mountain scenery before we make the scenic drive back to your hotel in Cusco, arriving with unforgettable memories of the day.
