Your day begins with an early pick-up from your hotel in Cusco. We leave the city behind and travel south through the Southern Valley, making our first stop in Cusipata for a hearty breakfast to power up for the hike.
We continue driving toward the stunning Langui-Layo Lake before reaching the trailhead. From here, we begin the hike up toward Pallay Punchu (4,700 m / 15,419 ft), also known as the Knife-Edge Mountain.
At the top, you'll have plenty of time to take photos, explore the sharp, colorful rock formations that resemble a traditional Andean poncho, and enjoy sweeping views of the lake down below.
After soaking in the summit views, we’ll hike back down toward Langui-Layo and head back through Cusipata as we make our way toward Cusco. We’ll arrive back in Cusco by late afternoon, wrapping up a great day of hiking and epic views.
