Suspended above the Apurímac River, Q’eswachaka is the last Inca rope bridge, expertly woven by hand each year using time-honored techniques passed down through generations. This iconic structure offers visitors a rare and immersive look at a living piece of Inca heritage.

The tour will begin with a pick-up from your accommodation between 4:30 and 4:45 am. After a one and a half hour van ride, we'll arrive in Cusipata town where we'll have breakfast. Following that, we'll drive for 25 minutes to reach the Combapata viewpoint. From there, we'll enjoy the breathtaking landscapes and observe the convergence of the Salcca River and the Vilcanota, the sacred river of the Incas.nnContinuing on our journey, we'll head to Yanaoca, one of the eight districts in the Canas province of Cusco. We'll drive for another hour to reach the Q'ewe district. As we descend the Apurimac canyon, you'll catch a glimpse of the ancient bridge suspended between the steep rock cliffs.nnWe'll leave the van upon reaching the bridge and hike down a steep path to a viewpoint for taking photos before carefully crossing the bridge together. Be prepared for a thrilling experience as you walk across the suspension bridge, trying to avoid looking down at the river several meters below. On the other side, the bridge attendant will greet us and give a brief history and construction demonstration of the bridge.nnAfter visiting the bridge, we'll drive to the region where four famous lakes are located: Pampamarca, Asnacqoccha, Acopia, and Pomacanchi. Set among the gold-green hills, they shine in the warm afternoon sun, with native flamingos and other birds flying and feeding around their peripheries.nnFinally, we'll head to Cusipata to have lunch. Following that, we'll start our return journey to Cusco where we expect to arrive around 5:00 pm.
