Begin your day with an early morning drive to the remote Andean village of Kinsecocha, a high-altitude community surrounded by stunning mountain landscapes and glacial lakes. Upon arrival, local families will welcome you and share traditional Andean life. Explore village farms, learn ancestral techniques, and, depending on the season, help plant, harvest, or herd alpacas.
In the afternoon, visit a women’s weaving collective and observe the intricate process of spinning, dyeing, and weaving wool using backstrap looms. Learn how natural dyes are made from local plants and minerals, and how each textile design holds cultural meaning. Connect with Quechua traditions, support local artisans by purchasing handmade textiles, and optionally enjoy a short walk to a scenic viewpoint before returning to your hotel.
