Begin your day with an early morning drive to the remote Andean village of Kinsacocha, a high-altitude community surrounded by stunning mountain landscapes and glacial lakes. Upon arrival, local families will welcome you and invite you into traditional Andean life. You will stroll through local farmland to discover ancient techniques firsthand and, depending on the season, participate in planting, harvesting, or herding alpacas.
In the afternoon, visit a women’s weaving collective to see how artisans spin, dye, and weave wool using traditional backstrap looms. You will learn how plants and minerals create natural dyes and discover the meaning behind the symbolic patterns. This visit offers a direct way to support local artisans and connect with Quechua traditions. Afterward, you can enjoy a short walk to a scenic viewpoint before returning to your hotel.
